On July 11, 2004, Lee played his I Love a Piano Concert in Alexandria, Indiana for The Bill Gaither Golf Classic VIP dinner. The dinner was the night before the charity tournament, and included Bill & Gloria Gaither, tournament golfers and some of Bill & Glorias Homecoming Friends. Dinner and the concert were in Studio C in Gaither Studios, where some of the Homecoming videos were taped. Lee closed his concert by having everyone sing his song May the Road Rise to Meet You, with Dianne doing the narration. Lee says, "I've never had a better audience!" The next evening, July 12, after the tournament, Gaither treated tournament golfers and friends to an impromptu concert outside under a tent near the studio. Included in the concert were the Gaither Vocal Band, Anthony Burger,
The setting was Jonathan Byrd's Cafeteria in Greenwood, Indiana. The crowd feasted on a delicious buffet, then feasted on the music. They were a wonderful audience. On January 22, 2005, and January 27, 2006, Bill Gaither brought his Homecoming Concerts to the Jacksonville Arena in Lee's hometown. He invited Lee to play I'll Fly Away, and there were 10,000+ and 9,111 at the two concerts. He was thrilled to get standing ovations both times from the Homecoming Friends and audience.
